SACRIFICE
PUT OTHERS ABOVE YOURSELF
When you think and play selfishly, you only have one person working for you, yourself. However, when all five players put their teammates first, you amazingly get four players doing what’s best for their one other teammate. 4 to 1 ratio is way better than 1 to 1. That’s the true power of teamwork but it requires sacrifice.
2
GRATITUDE
BE THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE
Things can always be better or not as bad, it all depends on the attitude towards your circumstances. But the key is to be content with whatever comes your way. God knows what you need way better than you can ever know for yourself. Have an attitude of gratitude.
3
HUMILITY
COME WITH AN OPEN HEART AND MIND
It's not possible to truly learn without humility. John Wooden said, 'It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.' When you humble yourself, real progress is going to take place.
4
COMMITMENT
GIVE IT YOUR EVERYTHING
Commit yourself fully to whatever you do and do your absolute best at it. Halfhearted effort leads to halfhearted outcome.
5
PERSISTENCE
FINISH WHAT YOU HAVE STARTED
Learn to complete what you’ve committed to do no matter what. Quitting is addictive and once introduced it’s hard to get rid of.
6
FOCUS
CONCENTRATE ON THINGS YOU CAN CONTROL
Anything beyond that is a waste of time and leads to ineffectiveness. Get the best results from the areas of your control and let others take care of theirs.
7
CONFIDENCE
BELIEVE
Believe in God who has blessed you with potential. Believe in your teammates’ abilities to help the team. Believe that your coaches have your best interest in mind. Believe in the results of your hard work.

3

Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor.
4
1 Corinthians 9:24
Don’t you know that the runners in a stadium all race, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize.
5
James 1:2-4
Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.
6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.
7
Matthew 5:16
Let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
